Fun with alcohol inks!

Day 4 of Creative Chemistry 102 was all about alcohol inks! I've had a wide variety of these in my collection for YEARS and never know what to do with them...until now.   Here are 2 cards I made tonight actually rather quickly using 2 different techniques.

The first one, I made using the Ombre technique. I think this turned out pretty good for my very first try!

The background used the ombre alcohol ink technique. Then, I stamped the snowman and the sentiment with black archival ink. The snowflakes were stamped using picket fence distress ink.  I'm entering this (again...lol) in the Moxie Fab World Color Media Challenge.

This second card, I used the Faded layers technique.

For this technique, I think I 'oversaturated' a little bit with the blending solution...but I think overall it was a success. Next time I will not use as much!
I'd like to enter this card in a few challenges.
1.  Moxie Fab World The color media challenge (shocker right? I just love using different color mediums!!! Cath don't kill me when you get tired of visiting my blog!!!)
2.  City Crafter Trick or Treat

I'm so excited for the next class! yet sad it is almost over :( I love this class!

Thanks for visiting my blog today!

  1. You did a great job on both techniques! I use alcohol inks quite a bit as they give a glam look quite quickly!
