This needed to be a post...

This is another nascar post about Brian Scott...heehee!
So, I have been cheering for Brian for over a year now, since I first laid eyes upon him when he won the Dover truck race in May of 2009. I used to cheer for Johnny Benson until he won a championship and then lost sponsorship (how does this happen?????). Then, I had noone to cheer for in trucks, so I picked Brian...hot young rookie who had just won his first race! There is your background for me cheering for Brian, since some of you are probably like..huh? Wasn't she all gaga over michael waltrip??? Brian was and is a whole other cup of tea....lol! (and michael did something on a personal level that highly disappointed me, but that is another story all together!). When I started following Brian on twitter, I was follower #35 I think...he has close to 2000 now....
Anyways.....I really reallly like Brian. Yes, he is smokin' hot to look at, but boy's got talent! He moved up from trucks to Nationwide series this year, and is well on his way to being Rookie of the Year! I see Brian racing in cup in the next 5 yrs.
I have done everything I can to show my support of Brian over this past year. I have left my mark lol...I have never met Brian or obtained an autograph...BUT....my efforts have not gone unrecognized, as I found out about an hour ago. Brian is signing autographs in Charlotte tonight (well, he was from 7-8pm). A twitter friend of mine was going, so i told him to tell Brian 'hi' for me. Coincidentally, this same friend has doen this for me before lol....somehow I am just never lucky enough to be in the right place at right time! So, he tells me he will be sure to tell Brian I said hi. A little later, I check my twitter, and see this from the guy : " He said you were his biggest fan...and said hi back."
My response...shut up! did he really say that??? Yes....indeed he did. I can officially call myself Brian Scott's biggest fan! I'm honored to have the title, truly I am! I mean, in actuality, Im sure his family and friends are possibly bigger fans than me, but of the people who are on the outside...it's me! I couldnt' say that ever with Michael. Thereh were so many people who were way more obsessive than i was.....lol! But I own this one....and am proud to sport the title of Brian Scott's biggest fan! This makes me so happy...hence the blog post!!! I had to share and spew my happiness into the blogosphere!!!! Yes, as I said before, I'm a loon! But...a happy one!!! Thanks for sharing in my looniness! Meet ya at the looney bin! ha!
EDIT: I found this post I made last year....haha....yep...i've been obsessed for awhile ;)

Pixie Cottage #20!

Happy Hump Day! We're getting closer to the weekend, and man do I need the weekend! Im definetly glad this will be a holiday weekend, AND soccer is over, so I should have 3 days in a row to sleep in!!!
Now on to the post...lol!
Wednesday means a new challenge at the Pixie cottage! This week's challenge features a sketch by our guest designer Bev Rochester from All the things I love! Here is Bev's fabulous sketch:

The added part of the challenge this week is to add a tag or pocket to your card, so you can either do the sketch, add a tag or pocket to your project, or both! I chose to just use the sketch with my card this week, which features the stamp Hannah on Stepping Stones by Sandra Hammer.

finally!

mebigspot, originally uploaded by twilson1424.

This may sound crazy....lol....
but....I have been trying for about a year now to obtain some sort of merchandise/apparel to show my love for Brian Scott. I have FINALLY obtained something! My little obsession with twitter paid off! One of Brian's sponsors is on twitter and had a trivia contest! of course, I knew all the answers right? So....I won a tee shirt! woohooo! Im so excited! I had to take a picture with my webcam so that I can change my avatar everywhere to show me supporting Brian!!! ( i know, im a loon right?) hahah!!! Maybe I am...but I'm a happy loon!!! Go Brian Go!

Rain or Shine!

DSCN7739
This week at the Shoe, we have a rather fun theme! (at least I think so!) The theme is...Rain or Shine! I have seen so many cute cards with umbrellas and rain, and suns, and rainbows....it was time to make it a challenge! My card uses a fun Pixie Cottage image by Artish that you can find HERE, and colors from Simply Scrapping Crafts color challenge #2 for May. I also tried to incorporate Mercy's Sketch Challenge for this week but am not sure how good I did at staying with the sketch! I'll enter it anyways....LOL! Here is Mercy's sketch:

Now head over to the Shoe and pick one....Rain or Shine!!!

365 Day 76, criss cross applesauce!

DSCN7771

Another card I squeaked in tonight while watching Survivor! This is for day 76 at 365 cards, and all I had to do was include a criss cross pattern! I added that in my umbrella! Easy Peasy eh? That's it for me tonight...monday is just around the corner (ugh!)

omg....is that layout??!!

May Sketchy Saturday Week 2

Why yes....I think it is!!! I finally made another layout! I have been out of ink in my printer for quite a while and well, I went and replaced it the other day so I could print out a picture or two! This happens to be one of my new favorite pictures! We went to the race in Richmond a few weeks ago, and I had the honor of waving the flags for Joey Logano when he qualified for the Nationwide race. I REALLY wanted to wave it for Brian Scott, but they wouldn't let me....so I took Joey! This was the chance of a lifetime to wave the flag! How cool to be up above the track in the flagstand! *sigh* So I scrapbooked it! I used a sketch from Simply Scrapping Crafts....my layout is a reallll rough representation....I flipped it and rearranged a bit...lol! Here is the sketch so you see what i mean:

Can you see it at all? LOL! Well....anyways...it was fun to dig into a layout finally!!! Thanks for stoppin' by! Now time to watch the Survivor finale!

Pixie Cottage #18 Vintage/Distressing!

DSCN7731

This week's challenge at the Pixie Cottage was right up my alley! I LOVE distressing stuff! I used a new Pixie Cottage stamp called Whispering Maisy and Matt by Di Carubia. I stamped them onto the kraft paper to give a soft distressed look. The sketch this week was designed by Suzanne Dean of Scrapbitz! Isn't it a fabulous sketch?

If you are like me and love to distress, be sure to check out this weeks challenge! You can use the sketch, or distress, or both! What fun!! Wait til you see all the other samples by the rest of the DT as well....jaw dropping gorgeous!!! Thanks for visiting my blog today, and hope to see ya at the Pixie Cottage!

DSCN7702

Happy Hump Day! It's time for another challenge at the Pixie Cottage!! This week the challenge is to either use the sketch by Pam (below), or to make your own charm for your projects (or both!). In mine, I just used the sketch, but either/or will work!! My card is also for Stacey's Stamping Stage, where the colors this week are Rose Red, Whisper White, Kraft, and Not Quite Navy. The stamp I used is a Pixie Cottage Stamp, Cassidy from the Girls of the World collection by Lisa Schmidt . Here is Pam's fabulous sketch:
