 My last card for today (and sadly probably this week since I am so limited on my craft time now) is for MUSE #44.

and i didn't even GET to the MUSE card i wanted to make yet :(

Jingle

It's been a while....I've pretty much been reduced to a weekend crafter who updates her blog once a week it seems....ugh. But if I want to go to the gym and lose weight and get healthy, well....it takes all my energy! I fell asleep so early every day last week. So....weekends it is. And this weekend, with my daughters bday, i only have a few precious hours today. I made this card for CASology, which is due in like 1 hour, but well, i'm done. I'm hoping to redo it if i can get it in on time because i came up with a better idea as i was looking at the photo of this one. So i'm posting this real quick and gonna try to get the second one in on time!

 I may have a small obsession with cardinals.....hence why i like to use them for my christmas cards! anyways... posting this card to :

for merry monday.....the stripes and heart are subtle. but.....there are embossed stripes. and a teeny heart in the sentiment! i added it in special, and even put glitter on it!

so glad tomorrow is friday!  both of my girlie girls have awards ceremonies in school tomorrow! Caitlyn is student of the month, and Alexis is on the honor roll! I'm so proud!!! of both of them! I'll be going to work an hour early so i can compensate for going to both their assemblies...i wouldn't miss either of them for the WORLD!!!

Holiday Warmth!

 I made this card in the holiday card class i mentioned in another post. it is through online card classes...this was day 1 lesson. the jury is still out in my mind as to how i feel about the class. i learned a few things so far, but alot of the class from tonight (day 2) seemed like SO MUCH WORK to achieve something that could be made alot simpler IMO. plus, it was all about die cuts, and i personally don't have alot of christmas dies...actually. i have none. i figure, i'm only going to use them once a year, so why spend the money? im more of a stamper anyways...so yeah. tonights class was a bit of a wash for me. but how cute is the snowman from the class i took monday?! the only real concept i got from that one was how to only emboss parts of a piece of paper....i never would have thought to do that! anyways...im entering this in Festive Friday color challenge:

and also entering in CASual Fridays, embossing challenge  as i've used wet and dry embossing on this card.  (OR NOT, AS I SEE I'VE MISSED THE DEADLINE! OH WELL....)

When good cards go bad....

this seems to be happening alot lately. I seem to have lost my mojo. i dont' know where it went....but it isn't here! Here are a few cards i made tonight when trying to unwind....they are just...well...good ideas gone BAD!
 I wanted to make 'snow' on the trees. i used gesso through a stencil...this didn't work out so well. i put distress glitter on it to try to fix it...but it didn't work either. then the sentiment...omg....you can't even read it. my white pigment ink....not so good, i think i need a new one! this one isn't as bad...but still not what i envisioned. actually, im not sure WHAT i envisioned, i just wanted to use pinecones! i just stamped a bunch of them on water color paper, and cut it card shaped. added a crooked sentiment.... oh well... eventually i'll find my mojo! i think i need to clean my craft room or something! i have a few cards to post from a few days ago that are a bit better....so if you see a good card after this post, no i didn't get my mojo back, im just behind on posting!!! on another note....how cool are these frogs we have?! i love watching them! they are african clawed frogs and they are so much fun!!! thanks for visiting my blog. im not entering these cards anywhere haha. ~tracey

Another card using a stamp that has never seen ink.....this card actually used 2 different Close To My Heart sets....I've used the sets before, but never THESE stamps. This card is for the following challenges:

'Tis the Season!

.....to make Christmas cards!!!

Last year, with all my life changes, I didn't get to make Christmas cards, and it was sad :(    This year, I want to mail handmade cards to everyone!!!  AND, I want them all to be different!
Seems like everytime it gets close to the holidays, I find myself buying Christmas stamps.....I have bought SO MANY over the years....and do you know how many are still UN-INKED!  Anyone else have this sickness like I do?   You see a stampset, think....'oh! that will be perfect for my christmas cards!'   and buy it. and it sits....
yep.
So I have vowed this year to do my BEST.....to put ink on all those poor sad un-inked Christmas stamps!

Because here is the first card.  It is for the current MUSE challenge I saw today and knew the PERFECT UNUSED stamp for it!   I got this stamp (the text on the bottom of the card) from Close to my Heart YEARS ago when I was a consultant. Never used until now!

I chose to use the layout of the card to the best of my abilities.

great CHEMISTRY!

Sooooo.....this card is way special to me.
Here's the story.....
I was at work, showing a friend of mine all the cards I like to look at on lunch and get inspired to work in my craft room when I get home. When I was on CASE this sketch blog, I saw THIS CARD by Sam Simpson

well.....
being that my profession is a CHEMIST.....
omg. i HAD to have this stamp set! THANK GOODNESS that Sam had the source of the stamp set listed on her blog!!!  I immediatly went to the papertrey ink site and ordered this set.....(along with a bunch of other stuff....wow they have great stamps!
So here is MY card I made right after I got my package (which was super FAST!!!!!!! great service papertrey! i'll for sure order again!)


I'm entering this in a few challenges.
