Sweet as Honey

I made this card for CAS-ual Friday #112....

I used all Close to my Heart stamps. Recently, I have realized that I have a gazillion stamps that are un-inked. I'm going to make an effort to use each and every one of them is some way. Debating devoting days of the week to certain stamp companies that I have oh so many stamps of and making a point to use a different set each time.....just a thought!  

On another note.....I think I am out of practice or something....maybe it is that fact that I work full time now (and being a chemist is NOT an easy job....oh the STRESS!) and I don't have the time to devote to the latest and greatest trends and techniques, but my cards are sucking! I need to find my mojo again. Anyways...time for some rest....I haven't been getting near enough sleep these days. Thanks for visiting my blog today!

CASology #58: paper!

This is my first time playing at CASology. The prompt was "paper!"  When I saw it, I thought of my paper airplane stamp...but then saw one of their DT used that same stamp! I thought for a while, then decided to just make my own REAL paper airplane! Now I don't even remember HOW to make a paper airplane so this was a challenge!!! after a few attempts, I think I got it to my satisfaction. The inside of this card is a love note to my boyfriend who I love very much and think he is the bestest!!! He will wake up in a few hours with this wating for him <3 p="">

Bowl-full of comfort

I might as well have made this card for myself...with how sick I have been.....used up all my sick days at work, along with having to put in for vacation time too to stay home and rest :(   I did feel up to making a card tonight so here is what I made. I'm finding myself struggling with my cardmaking lately, nothing is turning out the way I want it to. I'm trying to keep everything clean and simple, but I keep asking myself, is this TOO simple? should I add more? I think this is good and CAS, hopefully!
Any-hoo...this card was inspired by 2 challenge:

1.Moxie Fab World, Tuesday Trigger:  Now that's my cup of  Tea!  I know, it is a teacup and I made bowls....but that is how it inspired me. I saw the trigger and immediately thought of this stamp that was still sitting un-inked in my drawer. Here is the trigger:

Muse Challenge #30

 

Funny story about this card....

So I was real sick all week and spent alot of time wondering around the blog-osphere looking for inspiration and new challenges. Since I couldn't actually get my body out of bed to do anything, I had fun looking around and planning. Today was the first day I could actually sit down and MAKE something!  I had 3 challenges in mind, a sketch, a color, and the muse challenge.....they were all going to go together....except....nothing went as planned! I ended up straying way too far from the sketch, and well....one of the challenges was a clean and simple one, and yeah...this card is not exactly CAS! So....here it is...not what I planned....but I at least managed to follow the MUSE which is this lovely card by Therese Calvird:

My card follows the color scheme (sort of!), and has a bird. That is as close as I got! (This is for Muse Challenge #30)
(so now I guess I still have a few other cards to make for those other challenges eh??! maybe another day.....its late!)

Happy Birthday....Penguin style ;)

Took me all day, but finally finished my second card of the day. This is for a coworker and good friend of mine who LOVES the Pittsburgh Penguins! So.....this is the card I made for her.  I used 2 sketches for this that ironically look very similar to each other, so they both fit! Here is the first one.....from Moxie Fab  Worlds birthday sketch challenge...

It's Completely Collagical

I decided to take a half day break from moving/cleaning today and make a few cards. This  is my first one, which I made for 2 different challenges. The first is for Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger.  The thing I love so much about Cath's challenges is that they are all so different! This card that I made from this week's trigger is so different than I have been making recently. It's fun to try different things though!  Here is the trigger that inspired this card:
