Keepin' busy on a sad weekend...

Well, I had a bit of bad news hit on Friday.....my grandfather passed away. It was expected, yet unexpected at same time...he was 92, so in that aspect, it was expected right? But I personally just didn't expect to get the phone call....anyways....he has passed and is at peace. Unfortunatly, my family lives in Pittsburgh, and I am down here in Virginia. Mother Nature decided that she was going to make it impossible for me to GET to Pittsburgh this weekend....so...I was unable to go up and be with my mom and grandma. I didn't really know what to do with myself, so..I sat down, had some wine (maybe alot of wine....) and crafted! It was the only thing I could think to do to take my mind off of the situation...it worked for the most part....
So here are a few things I got accomplished this weekend....(challenges each card fulfills is below each card!)

2. Crazy 4 Challenges: Valentines!
3. Creative Card Crew: Valentines!
4. Twilight Tuesday: touchy feely vampire valentines! i added flock to my hedghogs!!

I also made a Layout this weekend, but it is for a future Shoe challenge, so, it will have to wait! Im glad I got all this done this weekend, it really did help me take my mind of of everything....and come tomorrow, I will have a whole new distraction....
thanks for stopping by today! I appreciate everyone who looks at my stuff, even if you don't leave a comment, thanks so much for taking the time to look!

  9. These are adorable! I am so sorry to hear about your Grandpa. My grandma passed away last summer and she was 98 - you know it's inevitable but that doesn't make it any less sad. I'm just so thankful that my boys got to know their Great Grandma. I'm also in Virginia and ready for the tropics. But have had tons of crafty time!! Take care!!

  10. I am so sorry about your grandpa and that you were unable to go spend time with your family at this time of loss. My Grandma passed away at 98 but it still isn't easy. My thoughts are with you.

Your cards are beautiful!! What a perfect take on the teeny tiny challenge. Thanks for joining us at the Saturday Spotlight this week.
