Keepin' busy on a sad weekend...

Well, I had a bit of bad news hit on grandfather passed away. It was expected, yet unexpected at same time...he was 92, so in that aspect, it was expected right? But I personally just didn't expect to get the phone call....anyways....he has passed and is at peace. Unfortunatly, my family lives in Pittsburgh, and I am down here in Virginia. Mother Nature decided that she was going to make it impossible for me to GET to Pittsburgh this was unable to go up and be with my mom and grandma. I didn't really know what to do with myself, so..I sat down, had some wine (maybe alot of wine....) and crafted! It was the only thing I could think to do to take my mind off of the worked for the most part....
So here are a few things I got accomplished this weekend....(challenges each card fulfills is below each card!)

Frog Hello Card

1. Friday Sketchers ( i used their sketch, it is fab! be sure to go there and check it out!)
2. Saturday Spotlight: Teeny Tiny Time! my frog is my interpreations, he is a teeny tiny creature!

Hip Hip Hooray!

(no challenges for this card, I made it for my sister, she just got a new job and moved to DC! )

Hedgie "i love u" card

1. Digi Kitty! this card is my DT sample for Digi Kitty's BEE GREEN challenge! I used the Heels over Hedgie Stamp set, and used some cardboard from one of the many boxes laying around here in my craft! Be sure to check this one out over at Digi Kitty! There is also a freebie stamp for all participants in this challenge....why would u NOT want to play? LOL!
2. Crazy 4 Challenges: Valentines!
3. Creative Card Crew: Valentines!
4. Twilight Tuesday: touchy feely vampire valentines! i added flock to my hedghogs!!

I also made a Layout this weekend, but it is for a future Shoe challenge, so, it will have to wait! Im glad I got all this done this weekend, it really did help me take my mind of of everything....and come tomorrow, I will have a whole new distraction....

  9. These are adorable! I am so sorry to hear about your Grandpa. My grandma passed away last summer and she was 98 - you know it's inevitable but that doesn't make it any less sad. I'm just so thankful that my boys got to know their Great Grandma. I'm also in Virginia and ready for the tropics. But have had tons of crafty time!! Take care!!
