Fun new stuff!!

I recently stumbled onto a digi sight called Karen's Doodles....and wow! Her images are so cute! They are drawn so realistic too! I love them and had to buy a few!! Then I started coloring em and never made anything out of em! Well...finally....I made a card! This was perfect for my mom's bday card, it looks like her cat Tigger...heehee...Tigger thinks she is the QUEEN! So.....happy birthday to my mom ( later next week!)

Hubby's birthday is tomorrow, so I had to make a super special card just for him! New stamps from The Greeting Farm sure came in handy!!! This one is Cheeky Rockabilly....super sexy eh? And being the challenge blogger that I am....I HAD to hunt down some challenges!!! (sketch and color challenges I used under card!)

Check out the mouse! How cute is that??? I absolutely LOVE this image from Digi Kitty! All I could think about was 'wine and cheese' when I saw him! So.....a card was born!!!

Mad for PLAID at the SHOE!

This week's challenge over at If the Shoe fits.....SCRAP IT! is MAD FOR PLAID!!! Yes that's right...PLAID!!! Plaid can be so much fun!!! I certainly had fun with it for my take on the challenge!!! Then again I MAY be biased....lol! I went to Carnegie Mellon for college (many moons ago!) and our school colors...tartan PLAID!!! YES! Plaid were my school colors! And a scottie dog was our mascot!!! haha! Anyways....I digress.....back to the challenge....I would love it if y'all would come join us at the Shoe this week and thow it down with PLAID!!! another sketchy thursday!

So it is no secret that I am a HUGE nascar fan....and the Daytona 500 was last weekend! Well...during races, I get in a 'zone' and tend to well...forget I have kids sometimes...lol! I was down in my craftroom watching the race on Sunday, drinking beer....typical for raceday right? Well...at one point I had to go down the hall...and I happened to see this.....Caitlyn was sitting in the SINK! WHAT???Why was she in the sink? I have no idea! But I HAD to take her picture! And then of course I HAD to scrap it right??? Sketchy Thursday's had a GREAT SKETCH!!! So here it is!

Keepin' busy on a sad weekend...

Well, I had a bit of bad news hit on Friday.....my grandfather passed away. It was expected, yet unexpected at same time...he was 92, so in that aspect, it was expected right? But I personally just didn't expect to get the phone call....anyways....he has passed and is at peace. Unfortunatly, my family lives in Pittsburgh, and I am down here in Virginia. Mother Nature decided that she was going to make it impossible for me to GET to Pittsburgh this weekend....so...I was unable to go up and be with my mom and grandma. I didn't really know what to do with myself, so..I sat down, had some wine (maybe alot of wine....) and crafted! It was the only thing I could think to do to take my mind off of the situation...it worked for the most part....
So here are a few things I got accomplished this weekend....(challenges each card fulfills is below each card!)

Frog Hello Card

1. Friday Sketchers ( i used their sketch, it is fab! be sure to go there and check it out!)
2. Saturday Spotlight: Teeny Tiny Time! my frog is my interpreations, he is a teeny tiny creature!

(no challenges for this card, I made it for my sister, she just got a new job and moved to DC! )

Hedgie "i love u" card

1. Digi Kitty! this card is my DT sample for Digi Kitty's BEE GREEN challenge! I used the Heels over Hedgie Stamp set, and used some cardboard from one of the many boxes laying around here in my craft room.........lol! Be sure to check this one out over at Digi Kitty! There is also a freebie stamp for all participants in this challenge....why would u NOT want to play? LOL!

I also made a Layout this weekend, but it is for a future Shoe challenge, so, it will have to wait! Im glad I got all this done this weekend, it really did help me take my mind of of everything....and come tomorrow, I will have a whole new distraction....

i love you card!

So last night , I sat down to make my card for the Shoe (i know, so LATE!) before I made the post! Instead....hubby asked me to go play Rockband with him, so I did that instead! I did post the new challenge for the shoe, I just didn't have MY sample done! ( i know....im so BAD!) However, this gave me time to peruse the blogosphere, and see what other challenges I could do at the same time! Oh.....I killed a bunch of birds with this baby! Challenge list under card! (btw....this card is for my hubby! he bought mesomething fabulous for Vday....i hope i can come up with something equally as sweet!)
