oh NUTS!
So where have I been?? I have made alot of new things lately, just haven't uploaded them!!! So...here is a start! I made this card for a few different places, as usual! First, it is for a card challenge on Cafemom, in the Scrap n moms group! Lissa, the owner of Scrap n moms, celebrated a birthday this past weekend, and we threw her a suprise CROP! Come on over if you are feeling like cropping, it goes until friday! The challenge was to make a birthday card, that from the outside, didn't really LOOK like a birthday card. Hence, the squirrel! I picked the squirrel set because, well....I recently won my very first blog challenge over at Kitchen Sink Stamps blog, and that is the set I won! I LOVE THEM! I had to use them! Huge shoutout to Kitchen Sink Stamps! Check them out if you haven't already!
I recently found another blog by checking out the Daily Dare, called The Pink Elephant! I love that title, so I checked them out, and found a color challenge! This was quite easy as their challenge is to use your personal favorite color combo! Hence, the red, black and white! I LOVE those colors together, so that is what I chose!
Then, I went to Pile it on, since, I was, well...piling it on! I had to use 4 buttons for their challenge, and pair it with at least one other challenge. The buttons...hard to figure out where to put them, but I settled on putting them on the ribbon. They are holeless buttons, but they are buttons nonetheless!
And, lastly, I used this weeks Mojo Monday sketch:
So, there you have it! 4 challenges, 1 card! Thanks for stopping by! Now I just need to forget someones birthday so I can use this card!

Queen Bitches!
3 challenges fulfilled for this layout:
1. I played in the GUTTER for the first time! The lastest Gutter Girlz prompt is....BITCH! My journalling is hard to read, so here is what it says: 'just when you think, you've got us figured out the season's already changing....Don't let the smiles fool you, we go from angel to BITCH in about 3 seconds flat....mess with one of us, deal with both!'
2. Pile it on! their latest challenge is...PURPLE! I couldn't find any good purple paper, so I got out the purple paint. I did some stamping with my purple paint...really like this technique!
3. Simply Scrapping. Yes, another sketch from the fabulous Judy!

5 Challenges, 1 card
I haven't had alot of time lately it seems to make anything, so I figured I would combine as many as I could while I DID have the time! So....I put 5 challenges together, and here is what I got! The sketch below the card was used for 2 of the challenges....challenges listed below!
1 & 2. 2RedBananas and CPS : The sketch is from their blog this week! 2RedBananas was sponsoring CPS this week, so, this sketch was good for both of them this week!
3. Color Throwdown: Colors this week were Coral, turquoise and kiwi!
4. Kitchen Sink: Their challenge was to use something recycled, and Kitchen Sink Stamps. All my stamps are kitchen sing, which i LOVE! If you are unfamiliar, they are layered stamps....the roses are actually 4 different stamps layered in different colors....gives a really nice effect! My recycled elment isn't obvious. Recently, I have put myself on a budget. I am REALLY short on pop dots! SO...I took an old priority mail box, and mounted some of my roses on it and cut it out, thus giving them height and dimenion. I have TONS of these, they may be recycled even more!
5. Pile it on: Their challenge this week was to use 2 different ribbons and of course, pile on the challenges! success!
Thanks for stopping by today and checking out my card! I'm hoping to have another post later today or tomorrow!

Crop weekend at Scrap Queen!
This next layout was from teh '30 minute layout' challenge. Yes, you heard me right, 30 minutes! No way right! I am so SLOW! BUT, I managed to speed it up, and this is what I came up with! It actually was easy using the fabulous Cosmo Cricket Early Bird line provided by the fab miss Judy at Simply Scrapping. Check out the new June challenge forum for YOUR chance to win the WHOLE LINE! Awesome rigth?? Anyways...here is what I did with it in 30 minutes!
Last but not least, a special note to MW. I know this week sucked, as other weeks have. I hate every week saying "next week will be better! go get em!". It may not be better. I hate sugar coating things. I hate when people sugar coat things for me. I always know when they are! You may end up 43 next week. Such is life right? It is what it is. Just know, I personally don't care if you finish 43 every week. Actually, you aren't even racing next week right? Patrick Carpentier is. BUT. Doesn't matter. I will still think of you and tune in for whatever shows you are on. You are always always #1 in my book. Always. Remember that. You are
#1! Could be worse, you could not even be in nascar right? You got it good MW. <} ya.
Thanks for stopping by!

I'm PILIN' it ON!
I found this blog today called 'Pile it on'! Imagine my suprise when I discovered, it is a blog that ENCOURAGES you to double/triple/quadruple....dip challenges! This is GREAT! I am always so busy with my DT projects, I rarely have time to make anything for other blogs. So, I am always trying to combine where I can....so this blog is PERFECT! Needless to say, I jumped right in! I managed to get 3 challenges out of this card I believe, challenges are as follows:
Pile it on: Use a NON STAMPED sentiment. My sentiment is made using Basic Grey sticker letters!
Cuttlebug Challenge Blog: Be Inspired challenge #34, use basic grey paper with coredinations. I used paper from Offbeat, and used my Chocolate Box Coredinations paper, which I embossed with divine swirls cuttlebug embossing folder. LOVE the way Coredinations looks when you emboss and sand it!
365 cards: Day 100, Manic Monday! The challenge today was to use 5 primary colors, red, orange yellow, green, and blue! no pastels! Mission accomplished! No pastels in sight!
So there you have it, I have successfully PILED IT ON! Thanks for stopping by!

A quick card...
The first challenge I did this for was on 2 Red Bananas Banana Split Sunday Pattern Frenzy Challenge! The challenge was to use 3 different patterned papers on one card! I pulled out my Garden Party Mat Stack by DCWV and picked out 3 and voila! I chose the colors pink, brown and green to satisfy the challenge over at the Color Throwdown. This is my first time participating over there, but it looks like alot of fun! So there you have it! I'm hoping to get a few more things accomplished this evening, then it will be on to cake making tomorrow for my daughter Caitlyn's birthday on Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by, and remember to check out Wishes for some fun new cardmaking ideas!

B is for 'Because'
This is the second page in the ABC's of me art journal, from the A Year in the life of Art Blog. The letter B was to stand for the word 'because'. Because what? Because ANYTHING! Whatever I wanted it to be! I focused on things that make me happy, and titled it 'Because it makes me Happy!'. What may you ask makes me happy??? Well, I picked some of my favorite little 'habits' of mine, 1. social networking, 2. Michael Waltrip, and 3. spending mega $ on scrappy stuff! Shocking right? This is also my very first picture-less layout! It was really difficult for me to make a layout without a picture, but thanks to a fabulous sketch on Simply Scrapping, it all came together. The sassafrass patterned paper made it easy as well, so much you can do with that paper! Thanks for stopping by today!!!
