a crafty day!

Well, my brother in law randomly asked if he could take the kiddos overnight this weekend....I said...SURE! So kids are gone! I went shopping earlier, and then got crafty! I managed to get 3 cards done, which is good for me in one day! Here is what I accomplished:

1. 365 cards, day 183 digging deep! i used: 2 patterned papers i've never used (from basic grey nook and pantry), 1 item 6 months old: the lace, embellishment i've had for mor than a year: the chipboard butterfly, stamp i've had for more than a year and never used...the sentiment!

ur so sweet!

I was trying to find a way to use this super cute Cosmo Cricket paper I had sitting around for a while, possibly to take to my LSS All About Scrapbooks for display purposes (im on the DT there!) And then I saw the GDT sketch for Sketchy Thursday's...and i went from there! Granted....I am sure there will be a gazillion fabulous other entries for the GDT spot...but heck, might as well give it a try right????? So here it is!

Fashionista Friday #46 at the Shoe!

I know, I haven't posted the Shoe challenges in a while....bad blogger! So I'm making sure to get this one in....there is a new color challenge over at If the Shoe fits....SCRAP IT! You MUST check this out! We haven't been having many participants in our color challenges, and I'd like to see this change. Here is this week's color pallete:

You do not have to use copics, we just use the copic chart to select fun color combos! My layout is done entirely with Close to my Heart papers....from the Perfect Day line...isn't it pretty??? Now come play along at the Shoe with us so this color challenge isn't a bust! I'd hate to have to say goodbye to the color challenges...they are some of my fav's to do!
